If an appointment is canceled at late notice, it is unlikely this appointment will be filled. Late cancellations result in loss of income for our psychologists and also mean other clients have missed out on an opportunity to have an appointment.
With this in mind, if you need to cancel your appointment you must provide us with at least 2 BUSINESS DAYS of notice. (ea. if your appointment is on a Monday, cancellation needs to happen at least on the Thursday of the previous week).
Cancellations made less than 2 business days before the commencement time of the service will result in 50% of the total fee for the service being charged to you ($100 penalty fee).
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours ' notice will be charged with 100% of the fee ($200).
There is no medicare rebate available for cancellation fees.

No you do not need a referral to see a psychologist at INTEGRA.
You can ring us today to book in an appointment.
However, if you meet criteria you can obtain a Mental healthcare plan from your GP which will mean your sessions will be rebated by Medicare, making them much more affordable.
You need this plan in place first before your initial appointment to access the rebate. You are welcome to see us a few times privately first if you need some support before you have time to get the plan in place.

A rebate is a reimbursement from Medicare for eligible services. For psychology, a rebate is a partial reimbursement of the appointment fee.
To claim a rebate for your psychology sessions with Medicare, you will need a valid Medicare card, a referral from your GP (addressed to the practice and the psychologist you are seeing), and an accompanying Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Each time you attend an appointment you will need to pay the full fee first and then we will process the rebate for you. Medicare allocates up to 10 sessions a year per patient.
Rebates are processed once the appointment is completed and are usually returned to your account within the next 48hs.
As per Jan 2024, Medicare rebate is 96.65 for each psychology session.
